Flower and Handicraft Show 2025

Once the entry forms started popping through the letterbox, we knew we definitely had a show happening. A good number of exhibits filled the hall and the judging went like clockwork.

The doors opened at 2pm and there were already people eagerly waiting to come inside. The hall was bustling with beautiful exhibits and villagers enjoying the show along with a refreshment. Lots of smiles were on the faces of those who exhibited and were awarded a certificate or two.

It’s so nice to stand back and watch the show come alive with people enjoying what others have worked hard on, from beautiful flower arrangements, home grown vegetables to incredible handicraft and home baked goodies.

We had an amazing number of Victoria Sandwiches this year, eleven in total and quite a few of those were kindly donated into our auction of produce. Four group entries showed that when friends and family get together they can really work some magic, they were all really good.

Little Marshian’s baby and toddler group entered a seaside holiday themed group entry as well as lots of beautifully decorated party hats, it’s so sweet to see what the under 5 year olds can do.

Even with the very dry weather we’ve had there was a good amount in the vegetable and fruit classes, so well done to those green fingered entrants.

The time and effort that the exhibitors go to, to enter this annual show is very much appreciated, we know from entering ourselves how some things can be time consuming, and we appreciate your efforts.

Trophies were awarded to those with the most points gained in each section of the show, so the more classes entered, the better the chance of winning a trophy!
