Life Events Exhibition at Holy Trinity Church, Dilton Marsh

It is 180 years since the church was consecrated by the Bishop of Salisbury, the foundation stone having been laid the year before in 1843.

In celebration, the Holy Trinity Church is curating an exhibition of weddings, christenings and to a lesser degree funerals that have taken place within the church. With wedding dresses, christening robes, photographs, memorabilia, parish records and newspaper articles from yesteryear, it is hoped the displays will do justice to those who chose to hold their ceremonies at Holy Trinity.

The event will be officially opened by a long-standing resident and former village teacher and run over the weekend of May 25 and 26.
