B3099 – Clivey
Published: 01 November 2026
At its October meeting, the Parish Council discussed the ongoing road surface issues along Marsh Road. Members agreed, following a recommendation from Wiltshire Councillor Mike Philips, that the Council should formally write to Wiltshire Highways requesting a formal plan for carrying out the necessary repairs.
The Parish Council has recently received the following response from Wiltshire Highways:
“We are aware of the longitudinal cracking/subsidence on the B3099. We are considering some remedial isolating Bob-Cat patching within the worst affected locations if possible. In the meantime, we are arranging for warning signs to be placed out on site to warn drivers.
Our Major Maintenance team are now also aware, and I will be pushing for this location to be added to a future maintenance plan for a suitable scheme within the recognised areas. We will be monitoring the situation closely.”
We encourage residents to continue reporting any road defects or deterioration through the MyWilts app, as this helps to ensure that issues are recorded and brought to the attention of Wiltshire Council.
